I got my account late last night, this morning the account was disabled. In IRC I was told that there was a glitch that occurred that made signups open and that myself and everyone else that managed to sign up were all disabled. :(
They were very pleasant about it, but said that there were no current plans for open signups. I didn’t even get a real chance to peruse what was even on the tracker, guess I should have stayed up later.

Joined to the site and in the morning my account was disabled. Though on irc they said that there’s a bug in the system which disables accounts for no reason so anyone having same problem go just to their irc and the problem is likely to be fixed :)

I was a faithful, longtime member of the occult.bz; and I was a contributing member and maintained a good faio. I find I am now locked out. Is there any way I can appeal for reinstatement. I do not know how to appeal for an invitation and am clueless as to how to contact the administrator.

The admins of TheOccult are psychopaths/sociopaths. They play power games with members only for feeding their paranoia.

I maintained a great ratio and contributed uploads, and have a permaban due to a simple period of activity. I just checked out of curiosity after a few years, and yep– locked out. Even after checking on IRC. I don’t care too much, because I have a robust physical library, but definitely wonder about the wisdom in locking out folks who actually contributed to the site. Great way to create an exclusive but lackluster tracker, I guess.
It used to be great. I got locked out due to inactivity. I was a paying customer…they locked me out too. Its entirely up to them….but their loss.
