Actually.. I had the express permission of the GazelleGames staff to post GGn on my blog
I have only ever posted sites on my blog that have been open in some way or another (open signups, donation signup, interview/application signup)
I do not include any sites that haven’t been open (in some way or another) during the span of time I’ve been running this blog (since November 2012)
The very definition of a “Private” site is one that requires registration, regardless of how one comes about an account.

I had the same problem when I copy and pasted the number but included a space character. Putting in only the numbers allowed it to work.
As well as I believe, the motivation section is busted, if you need a minimum of 30 words, I exceeded past 150 for sure, always do. But seems for now, signups won’t happen unless this is explained out more.

Not easy for a pseudo-illegal website to have all mail providers honor their emails. Why not ask for help on IRC to sign up without an adress.

I wish I knew how to contact Gazelle Games to get my account enabled. I have always seeded and enjoyed being a member until the tracker went down recently, then it said my account was disabled, I assume because of the hit n runs from the tracker being down. I went to any site on the web that had information on connecting to Gazelle Games IRC but can’t get it to work.

You should have gotten an email. But some mailproviders block some trackers.
In that case use the link in the description above to log into their irc help channel via browser. In the channel you have to type:
!help and what problem you have (<- in one line, just like here). Then wait until a new chat window opens and someone talks to you.
They will probably help you somehow.
Example:
!help didnt get confirmation mail
Might take a few minutes until someone talks to you.
The new chat window might also open in the background without you noticing it (browser stays in the main chat window).
It also might be that you need to scroll down in the new chat window to see the text! At first I thought the chat wasnt working ;-p
Also: log into irc with the username from you application. And you need to know your application-ID (the 3 digit number).

Or if your IP is banned try to get a different IP (restart router, use a proxy etc.) or use a friends pc or a pc at work/school/neigbours/internetcafe or take a laptop/tablet/smartphone to a wifi hotspot (eg at mcdonalds or starbucks).
Try using a client other than mibbit as some of their ips are banned by our network.

most private torrent sites have surveys you need to pass in order to join.
the survey is used for a few reasons
1) weeds out leechers who will download and then not seed the torrents. this is why private sites have the best torrents with the best speeds.
2) this finds high quality users who have the knowledge of the items to upload new/missing items to the site.

I was there, not many users, only hardcore users there, if you are not active game freak, developer or some other crazy batshit, then they will close your account. They closed mine, I was cross seeding like 1TB of games. My ratio was good. But I have to admit that they have some really really nice content, they have everything in there. Games, music, retro games, like everything, the best tracker on the planet, but as I stated, this site is only for really weird nerds who play games 18h per day and downloading and uploading content. Do not even apply if you are not one of them, they will close your account.

Uh, they won’t close your account because you’re not an “active game freak”, whatever the hell that means. Just maintain your ratio and log in once in a while so you won’t get pruned, just like you would on any other PT.

About the GazelleGames is a gazelle based video game tracker that started back in 2010. It is one of the most popular video game trackers(along with UGC). There are lots of torrents and many of them have good amount of seeders so the speed is great. GGn has a very good looking user interface, and you can find a game’s torrents and updates all on the same page, they have freeleech for new torrents for a couple of hours, and forgives hit n runs after a certain amount of seeding. The trick with GGn is to download brand new torrents as during the first 6 hours they’re freeleech, with good speed there is enough time to download these torrents and to complete the majority of torrents if you spot them within the first couple of hours, then any upload you gain is a pure bonus. This is an amazing system for members who set-up auto downloads. They have an easy to maintain ratio system that is designed to support new users. It is complimented by a 6 hour freeleech on all new uploads and regular freeleech on staff recommendations and user voted (games of the year) torrents. Upload credit can also be won in the forum games, themed “drawing” competitions and earned by filling upload requests and the IRC idle bonus. They have no plans to open applications in the near future. GGn recruit in official, class-restricted invite forums on other reputable trackers, that would be your best bet unless you know somebody personally who has an account at GGn and who has invites. GGn is also an excellent private tracker, highly recommended.

For who wants to account in it, it is difficult to keep in mind in the application you have to have a fast internet that can download torrent free that last 6 hours and after that free ends, you still have to have a seedbox to do download torrent from the site, you have to download a lot to get a good ratio in Gazella Games

I had trouble applying at first since every answer in your app must be between 30 and 600 characters. I had a couple answers that used the max 599. I joined the GGn-help IRC channel and they QUICKLY helped me sort out the problem. For some reason the system doesn’t like answers too close to 600. I just got rid of some unnecessary characters and it worked. Hoping they accept me. This place looks promising.

Applied and got accepted in 5 mins with no other tracker profile links. If you failed, then you either a. wrote in incorrect grammar b. spelling mistakes c. didn’t write enough d. didn’t convince them you knew much about games.

I been with the tracker for two and a half years and I have enjoyed it so, no bad experiences yet.
For people complaining about failing the interview. I failed my first one and I went back and submitted a new one. I put more or less the same amount of effort as I did the first time and ended up getting accepted the 2nd time. I assume they decline the application the first time randomly as a test to see if the person gives up. If you give up then it shows how little you probably care and they can easily find anyone else to fill in the open spot that actually cares. (essentially they are gauging if you will be a quality user or not). Or maybe the staff who read my first application just didn’t simply like it.

I Applied at 6am, got my acceptance around 10pm (both On July 1st). This, and the fact that apps are closed now, leads me to believe it’s something of a University wait-list…they may be judging the individual applicants agains the whole pile received before deciding which to accept.

Got accepted a few hours ago! I was 77xx and it took me 11 days, but it was worth the wait ^^. I’m so happy to be part of the community. I can find even very old and underground games and the new games receive soon even the latest updates. Keep waiting and if you got rejected try re-applying the next time. You won’t regret it!

No. Be honest, put some effort, give good proof of ratio and intentions. You don’t need top tier trackers for ratio proof. I gave trackers i got trough open registrations.

I suggest you to join TL and keep a very good ratio. Since it’s very difficult to mantain a good ratio there, it is a really an impressive calling card. Write down some long and detailed answers and check your grammar 2 or 3 times if you’re not a native English speaker. Apart from this just be sincere and show some enthusiasm. Let them know how you can contribute actively to the community and what you can offer. For example if you have your pc or a seedbox on 24h/24 just tell them.

GGn has the nicest staff ever. You may ask on #GGn-Help. And if you can’t, try with another IRC client (hexchat usually works nicely) and/or with another IP. There is surely a reason. Maybe you just got suspended due to inactivity.
Anyway if you need help I can probably talk with some moderator about your case. Let me know if you managed to solve the issue by yourself…on the contrary, I’m here.
