Yes, BCG have suffered another ddos attack and the host has had to disconnect the server from the network, all I can say is BCG will be back as possible and yes the site has been open for limited signups which is likely to continue when back online.

I was on this tracker and i would want to say that all private trackers are shit. I hate a ratio syatem in private trackers,i can’t seeding files 24/7,it is impossible with my internet speed. Arrrghhhh.
So wait, private trackers are shit because your internet sucks?
The problem isn’t private trackers, Warrior, the problem is people thinking they can grab whatever they want and keep up a good ratio with their shitty home internet.
Some people have good home internet, some don’t. A seedbox helps a lot for those who don’t, but careful downloading and cross-seeding can make it workable on a home connection.
GGN is not as good as BCG, I really hope you guys come back
ANY NEWS on bcg? not been able to connect for ages now?
Owner and staff including myself are very hopeful and most certainly want to continue BCG, but our service is still suspended while we continue to wait for the outcome of an arbitration by our host’s uplink provider as they claim the DDoS attacks against us have adversely affected others on the network for weeks (in my opinion this is at least partly bull as we have been null routed throughout nearly all the attacks, especially recently as it’s been automated on the detection of abnormal traffic). Unfortunately we got suspended suddenly without warning while we was offline expecting to come back online within a couple of days with a possible solution to the DDoS attacks. We will however hopefully find another feasible option if they terminate our service permanently, but until we know it’s still a waiting game (yes it’s frustrating as it’s taking ages).
In short nothing is 100% guaranteed, but there is a very good chance BCG will return from the ashes, although unless our host suddenly decides to reconnect us we are likely to remain offline for a while yet.

Well we came back online for just over 17 hours a couple of days ago at the time of writing and we then got attacked yet again since the host didn’t change our IP as expected. The host was however about to change our IP address to rectify this problem and work on our server in order to hide the new IP behind Cloudflare properly yesterday in order to bring us back online. Unfortunately all of a sudden our server has ‘died’, it now won’t post, boot or even output a vga signal. Now unless the hardware fault turns out to be simple we will be forced to look at other options to continue as it’s won’t be feasible to spend too much money on repairing this server (yes it is owned and not rented). We was thinking of upgrading the server soon anyway to improve the slow site response Etc, but obviously we expected to do this at our leisure after the site came online. We would have probably been back up again by now if this recent blow hadn’t happened, but we just seem to be cursed no matter what we do and it is extremely disheartening to say the least. I still think it’s extremely likely that we will return again, but thanks to this latest terrible bad luck (on top of bad luck on top of more bad luck) it’s now more likely to be a while again. We have now had many times more than our fair share of bad luck and we desperately need our luck to finally change. :(

Thanks RJ for your words of support, we have NOT given up, although it now looks like we are definitely going to need a new server which if all goes to plan will be sorted soon. Provisions are also being made to ensure that when (I will say when at the moment) we do return we will stay online this time. A fair bit of work will be required to get everything sorted and it’s still going to take a bit of time, but as long as nothing else unforeseen seriously goes wrong we will be coming back and hopefully even better than before.
I don’t understand why people would want to DDOS BCG. You guys are a great service, literally the #1 best out there. Everyone is great with sharing, especially with the older games that can’t be bought or downloaded anywhere else. Staff seem extremely helpful too from what I’ve seen on the forums and seem like a bunch of decent guys.
You guys are providing a great service and I would be sad to see you go. It would be amazing for BCG to be around for years to come. It would be awesome if there was more community involvement or something for people to understand that you guys are just trying to provide for the community and so are all the uploaders sharing.

We have got ourselves a new and more powerful server with a faster connection and most importantly DDoS protection. A lot of work is still required before we are back online again, but things are definitely moving forward in the right direction for our now imminent return.
Time frame, approximate? 2 weeks? 1 month? 3 months?
There is no official ETA so I hate giving any sort of time frame as it might not be kept to so please don’t hold me to this, but it’s more likely to be weeks rather than months. The first part to get online will most probably be the IRC which will hopefully be within a week followed later by the database, site and tracker.
Will all user stats be reset when the site goes live? I’d like to be able to get rid of these 100+ GB that never got a chance to be seeded back to 1:1 due to the attacks.
The stats won’t be reset, but it’s a very good point as lots of members will end up with hit and runs because of all the downtime and some members will have obviously removed their downloads after so long. Lets get back up online first and then we will decide how to address this problem.
^ Don’t worry the problem of HnRs will be addressed as there will be a lot of members affected.

I just tried to sign up: an erro message said “couldn’t write” something, but also “completion mail sent”. However I did not get any e-mail… If I try to login it fails, if I try to recover the password it says “email not found in the database”, but if I try to register again it says “email already in use”… :'( How can I get help? The IRC server address is not available unsless you sign in…

Try checking your Junk/Spam folder for the confirmation email. Mine was in there.

After not being active for a while due to my 360 JTAG giving me the RRoD, I was worried that I lost my good ratio due to account deactivation. Worse, getting a response from the server wasn’t going well… until tonight.
I managed to connect and see that I was still in good standing (somehow) and even view my PMs. I don’t have my torrents and lost most of my archives to an HDD failue recently, but I’m super stoked that the site is still around and trying to make a go at it.
If I can manage to get back onto the site again, pjcnet and the rest of the mods can expect a donation from a gamer that almost gave up. Long live BCG!

This site is HUGELY OVERRATED.
People seem to think it’s the lost city of Atlantis, or the DaVinci code. The simple fact is that they just like to keep the hype up with their nonsensical impossible-to-get-in stance, and it works because people are dumb and think there’s distributors of free gold bars inside.
Guys, it’s just a game bittorrent tracker like with many others before it, and others that will come after it. Get over it. There’s nothing inside that you cannot find elsewhere in the internet.
I had an account there and stop using it after a while because I lost interest, when i realized I could get all the content inside from public trackers and other, far simpler to use and manage, and more importantly, BS-free sites.

Well, as a matter of fact it is the best torrent tracker for games there is, or at least the best I have used. I used to have an account there too. Lost it for inactivity, (not downloading from other places). Now that I wanna download games again after a while, its a pain in the ass to find them in public trackers. But the site is the real deal, not only you can find everything you want , but you know files are clean and that there will be seeders for all the games, so its Fast and Secure. IM sure you can find games in other places, but you will waste time for sure. So if you are no interested in this , why are you even commenting here?
games are the easiest thing to find on the internet, same for x264 series/movies, music, you don’t need these trackers to have scene release.
