Very many thanks to all of you, and in particular to the marvellous people who have selflessly devoted themselves to running the site.

This is an exceptional, friendly site. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Bad news about this site, as of 30th Dec 2013 it has been shutdown permanently.
Yes – a real sad loss.
And still the effing stupid BBC hasn’t come up with any “legal” way of doing what Cheops and the others did: easily accessible historical archive material like this.
I’d even pay.
A real loss – the BBC could make money selling radio programs – but not at the old CD prices! I’d pay…
I did support radioarchive. Thanks to all those who took part!
Damn!….Damn!Damn!Damn!Damn! Damn!
this is a real pity, Hopefully someone will pick up the baton and start again. I for one would be happy to pay a fee for the service
Life was better. Have missed it, like a dearly departed friend.
Bugger.
A horrible shame – since The Box and now Radioarchive have gone a massive treasury of vintage and archive TV & radio has now been lost seemingly for good…
So very very sad. Such a wonderful site.
Oh noooooooooo.
What a shame.
Zillion tx to whoever set it up and kept it going.
UK tax and licence payer for decades, that stuff belonged to me / us and it should be available :(
Well, at least demonoid is back.
All uploaders can go there and revitalize it.
Damn damn damn damn damn, I was a member of radio archive.cc such as loss
One of the best sites, ever. Cheops deserves a tremendous amount of credit for the work he did. Why can’t the BBC come up with a streaming option for BBC radio that charges a monthly fee?
Real shame, when will the BBC get its act together and make its content available. Where will I get my wonderful McLevy stories from now missing last two series and no hope of getting them elsehwere.
i miss radioarchive.cc !
I still lament RA-CC not being there anymore…
A Limerick
Radio Archive CC
killed by the bloody BBC
we loved you so dearly
and now miss you clearly
lets hope this will one day be free
Peace
Radioarchive.cc was genuinely life-enhancing. I’m less stimulated without it. My deepest thanks to all who contributed to it.
Come on BBC: digitise your back catalogue and either make it free or, if you must, charge a Spotify-like small monthly fee. If you can’t afford it, why not make an appeal – there’d be loads of donors to make this freely available to all who’d benefit from it.
the RA.cc community has pretty much moved to myanonamouse.net
RA.cc was not closed down by the BBC but was unable to fuction after being hacked by the activist and hacktivist entity known as “Anonymous” who are generally known for their attacks on government, religious, and corporate websites.
The Anonymous attacker was especially mean spirited and determined to close RA.cc. He/she has ruined many peoples lives; some of whom were handicapped.
What a shame that radioarchivecc has gone.
Although I wasn’t a frequent user I did really appreciate it’s presence. I often make my own recordings as needed but found that those already uploaded by archive members were often better in some respects.
The beeb will never make their programmes free again. Pay per view is more likely.
years on and the gap remains.
“years on and the gap remains.”
still no site like it,anywhere
Im one more person deeply saddened by the loss of RA.CC – Thanks to cheops and everyone else who continues to share content on TPB, KAT, demonoid…
Rareshare is open for signups.
UK TV & Radio
Demonoid, RadioArchive.CC and now KAT – I love my BBC Audio and I’m one of the lucky ones who made sure I copied and downloaded as much as I could. I have a good collection but it gets old. I have yet to find a good replacement for Demonoid but especially RadioArchive. I will say a big thanks to Cheops and everyone at RadioArchive. They were my first torrent site I went to. (Cue Memories song now please) :(
Cheers!
NJSA, Do you have anything you have downloaded to share? I’m afraid I came across RadioArchive.cc too late, and am really keen to build a collection of BBC Audio. Perhaps you could compile them into a torrent?
I would recommend MyAnonaMouse, many uploaders have moved there.
Still miss this site and Cheops!
