Personally, I dislike their lack of high resolution video. Some of the most popular anime only have 720 or 480. I was having a difficult time finding 1920×1080 torrents.
@Anonymous some shows are only released in 720 until blu-ray comes out. You can download 1080p torrents of them but it’s just upscaled either by the broadcaster or the encoder and not any higher quality than 720p being upscaled by your player of choice.

I got an account a while back, eventually left because no one downloads old stuff. I recommend using BakaBT unless you are a serious Funimation junkie.

AB is definatly my favourite anime tracker.
If you can’t get in then I do recommend BakaBT.
However, with AB they have some very nice ratio rules. You can either seed until you have a 1.0 or seed for a set amount of time. (This changes for either manga, anime or movie) Most anime have a seeding time of 72 hours which is easy enough to get.
Great community and a massive collection of anime. Old torrents are always being seeded too which is a nice bonus.
It is quite difficult to get in though, they usually hit their user limit cap quite quick.
So if you get in either stay active or donate atleast £5 to avoid their inactivity pruning.
Over all, one of my favourite private trackers, and 100% my favourite anime tracker.

The user cap has been raised from 15,000 to 18,000. There are currently ~2920 open slots, the applications are OPEN, HOWEVER there is an application queue and if the queue is filled applications will close automatically until the queue is worked through by staff. Applications will automatically reopen when there are more places in the queue. If you see applications are closed, simply check back later.

Private trackers aren’t for everyone, but nyaa.se, bakabt, tokyotorrents, etc. Simply don’t compare, sure you could probably use all 3 to find everything you want, or close to it.
But Animebytes has it all in one place, with a good community, good seeders, and now they even allow currently airing anime to be put up the same day it airs, and freeleech so it wont count against your ratio.
Animebytes is officially the best place for anime related content in 2016.
How come? I think it’s a great site. Though most of the file sizes are big due to the fact that they only allow anime from the source

Don’t even try they will always reject your applcation
The only way you will get your application rejected is if you have shitty taste in anime, have absolutely no idea about basic tracker rules (hit and runs, ratio, required seed time, etc), or you wrote literally half a sentence when it asked you to write as much as possible.
Choose some decent anime/manga for your choices and give good explanations as to why you like them. Feel free to give several sentences here. As long as you do this and fill out the other questions, you will be accepted.
You need to write a 3 page review on all your favorite animes and use appropriate language to prove you are under 12.

One of the best Trackers! And not everyone gets in. So consider yourself lucky if you get in.

No one should worry about time. I probably took 10 minutes to write my application.
I was actually working on mine for 30-40 minutes I think, but that’s no problem.
I applied 2 days ago they accepted me in 5 min this question is just to see if you can have your proper opinion about your best anime, you don’t have to do a novel with it. Just described each of them in 2 sentences with your own words. (It should be a 2 min reflection, you don’t need more time if they are really your best animes…)

When I got on the application page I was not on my computer. After realizing this would be a lot easier on that I ran to my laptop, but it was already closed. Expecting this, I quickly dropped everything and did it on the other one.
Prepare the answers and save, then copy-pasta when it opens. Good luck.

This website says “Applications are open”. But whenever I visit AB’s registration page it says “applications are currently closed”. What is this?
