│  Movie Length:                                                             │
│  - PAL (25 fps) = min runtime is 105 minutes/CD                            │
│  - FILM (23.976 fps) = min runtime is 110 minutes/CD                       │
│  - NTSC (29.97 fps) = min runtime is 92 minutes/CD                         │
│  - These runtimes are scalable via the following equation:                 │
│    N cd timeminimum = (N-1) * allowed_time where N is number of CDs and    │
│    allowable time applies to your format                                   │
│    (i.e. 3 cd FILM rip min = 110 x (3-1) = 220 minutes)                    │
│  - Length rules applies per MINIMUM time on a cd, not MAXIMUM!             │
│  - The use of AC3 has nothing to do with the length rules!                 │
│                                                                            │
│  Media usage is at Ripper's discretion, please use it.                     │
│  Releases must utilize at minimum 97% of total media capacity (700mb cd)   │
│  an undersized release is a technical flaw unless it is a multi-cd release │
│                                                                            │
│                                                                            │
│    AUDIO:                                                                  │
│    - MUST be MP3 or Studio AC3 (AC3 transcoding forbidden).                │
│    - MUST be STEREO for STEREO sources, MONO for MONO sources              │
│      (MONO audio as STEREO on source is considered a MONO source).         │
│    - MUST BE VBR! NO CBR MP3!                                              │
│    - MP3 tracks must have the original frequency as on the AC3.            │
│    - MP3 files must be normalized.                                         │
│    - VBR techniques:                                                       │
│         - strongly recommended to use --r3mix with LAME                    │
│         - ABR is considered a VBR technique.                               │
│    - AC3 MUST be used wisely and correctly.                                │
│    - AC3 MUST be interleaved at 64 or 96 ms.                               │
│         -MONO AC3 is BANNED! in that case must encode to 1.0 mp3!          │
│                                                                            │
│    VIDEO:                                                                  │
│  Keyframe:                                                                 │
│    - MUST be <=20 seconds and MUST be inserted according to scene          │
│      changes and framesizes as determined by the codec or encoding         │
│      application.                                                          │
│                                                                            │
│  Framerate:                                                                │
│    - MUST be as close to original source framerate as possible.            │
│                                                                            │
│  Codec:                                                                    │
│    - MUST be DivX 3.11 or XviD.                                            │
│    - MUST use 2 pass technique during encoding!                            │
│    - NO DUPES BASED ON CODEC TYPE, USE INTERNAL.                           │
│                                                                            │
│  Resolution and Aspect Ratio                                               │
│    - Width: 512 - 640 pixels and MUST be a multiple of 16.                 │
│      EXCEPTION: 4:3 FS sources may use a minimum resolution of 448 pixels, │
│      and maximal resolution of 576 pixels!                                 │
│    - Height: Must be a multiple of 16.                                     │
│    - Cropping is required to the MAXIMUM possible.                         │
│    - Movie encodes must be within 5% of original aspect ratio.             │
│                                                                            │
│  Subs, Interactive Menus, Trailers:                                        │
│    - OPTIONAL (if and ONLY if all other requirements have been met).       │
│    - VOBSUB is the preferred format due to the fact it does not use        │
│      OCR, however, any format that displays with DVobSub is acceptable.    │
│    - Subtitles may be MUXED with video stream, but may NOT be BURNED       │
│      into video stream. MUXED subs will proper BURNED subs                 │
│    - Subtitles not muxed into video stream MUST be encapsulated in .rar    │
│      file with the MOST compression available and shall be contained in    │
│      the directory named 'Subs' and will NOT be packaged with main movie   │
│      .rars.                                                                │
│    - Burned subtitles shall only be permissible when the source exhibits   │
│      forementioned subtitles in the picture itself (i.e. Subs in the       │
│      matte portion of the picture MUST be typed in a seperate file and     │
│      the frame shall be cropped).                                          │
│    - Subs on non english movies MUST fit on CD with main movie, all other  │
│      optional subs SHOULD fit on CD.                                       │
│    - Foreign movies (Non English Spoken) with no english subs must have    │
│      the language name taggings (applies to the various none english       │
│      scenes). Movies with english subs present, WILL NOT have any language │
│      tag on them!                                                          │
│                                                                            │
│                                                                            │
│  Packaging:                                                                │
│    - All releases must be AVI, not BIN/CUE. (see Notes Section)            │
│    - Must be packed with RAR, compression is NOT ALLOWED                   │
│      and broken into 15 or 20 MB volumes                                   │
│    - Recovery record recommended.                                          │
│    - Must have SFV                                                         │
│    - Must have NFO                                                         │
│    - NFO SHOULD INCLUDE:                                                   │

│    - All NFOs have to include the maximum information possible. Lack of    │
│      info or smartass comments such as "good size" or "nice res" will not  │
│      be tolerated!                                                         │
│                                                                            │
│                                                                            │
│  Credits:                                                                  │
│    - Movie credits can be encoded separately at a lower birate only if     │
│      the time length exceeds the no. of cds used. (ie. 111 min on 1cd      │
│      for ntsc source, or 211 min on 2cds for pal source etc.)              │
│    - Any movies with scenes in the credits (ie. bloopers,continuation of   │
│      story) MAY NOT be downsampled!                                        │
│    - Cutting Credits is FORBIDDEN!                                         │
│                                                                            │
│  Samples:                                                                  │
│    - REQUIRED                                                              │
│    - 1 full minute in length (approximately 10 MB) and in separate folder  │
│      marked 'SAMPLE'.                                                      │
│    - MUST be taken from the movie - NOT encoded separately.                │
│    - Vob samples are recommended for any rip that is deemed questionable,  │
│      (No ivtc possible on source, ivtc to 24.975fps etc).                  │
│                                                                            │
│                                                                            │
│  Propers:                                                                  │
│    - Propers are ONLY permitted in the case of a technical flaw with the   │
│      original release (i.e. Bad IVTC, Interlacing, bad no. of cds).        │
│    - Releases not nuked on release lists and/or sites MUST include         │
│      original sample of technical flaw.                                    │
│    - Qualitative propers are not allowed, nor are propers based on         │
│      decisions made by a ripper (i.e. # of CDs, AC3 or MP3, etc).          │
│    - Propers based upon the compliance with new instances of TDX           │
│      guidelines are also forbidden.                                        │
│    - Only propers that will be acceptable when propering old tdx rips are  │
│      propers based on picture damage. (Aspect Ratio and IVTC)              │
│    - Subbed (in original movie language) propers dubbed (in any language). │
│    - Hardcored Subs may be propered by releases containing Vobsub/Srt.     │
│      <This rule will not apply to movies ripped before TXD2K4.>            │
│                                                                            │
│                                                                            │
│  WS after FS:                                                              │
│    - FS movies after WS was out, are FORBIDDEN!                            │
│    - WS movies after FS was out, MUST HAVE original sample from the        │
│      previous release, unless proven no WS dvd was out at the time the     │
│      FS was released. A WS not following the above is considered a DUPE!   │
│    - WS or FS name tags on the release name, if the other wasnt released   │
│      in the past, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! <use nfo to mention the AR>       │
│    - WS cannot proper another WS. <for example 2.35:1 after 1.85:1 is out> │
│      Use the tag WS in the dirname. However WS after WiderWS released      │
│      will be considered a DUPE unless proven it contains more picture!     │
│      Sample rule, applies here also.                                       │
│    - Letterboxed DVDs are not considered FS even if it's FS on the source! │
│                                                                            │
│  Special Movie Editions:                                                   │
│    - Allowed: SE, DC, Extended, Remastered, UNRATED, CHRONO.               │
│    - Releases MUST CONTAIN at least 2 minute extra/alternate footage from  │
│      the past releases of the same movie. If not use the INTERNAL tag.     │
│      PAL - NTSC length diffrence comes from the no. of frames. BE AWARE!   │
│    - Remastered will not be considered a dupe ONLY IF the previous         │
│      release was BLACK AND WHITE. Everything else use INTERNAL!            │
│    - Extras ARE NOT CONSIDERED an edition and will be nuked for dupe,      │
│      unless released seperatly. <and are not dupes of previous releases>   │
│    - Chrono editions will be accepted only if its a retail version, and    │
│      not homemade.                                                         │
│    - Extras that are put into the movie by hand, will not be claimed as    │
│      extended or unrated etc, and will be considered as a fake.            │
│                                                                            │
│  Directory Naming:                                                         │
│    - Directory names shall NOT exceed 64 characters.                       │
│    - All releases are to include production year.                          │
│    - DO NOT indicate Ripping method (MM4/VM2/VBR/SBC and so on),           │
│      DVD/DivX release DATE, GENRE or anything else! (ONLY within the NFO)  │
│    - NO AC3/FESTIVAL/STV/LIMITED/READ.NFO in dirnames, include it in NFO!  │
│    - Permited tags are: WS <rules above>, PROPER, REPACK, RERIP, INTERNAL  │
│      DC, SE, EXTENDED, REMASTERED, UNRATED, CHRONO.                        │
│    - Acceptable characters in naming a directory include (NO spaces or     │
│      double dots - single dots or underscores ONLY):                       │

│                                                                            │
│    - Releases that are more than 1 CD will follow these specs:             │
│        - MUST be named CD1, CD2, CD3 and so on. ('disc1', etc will NOT     │
│          be allowed).                                                      │
│        - There MUST be a SFV included for each CD.                         │
│        - Rars MUST be broken into 2 or more CD volumes. (78 rars of a 2    │
│          disc title will NOT be tolerated)                                 │

│                                                                            │
│  TV Series Notes:                                                          │
│    - All Episodes <Caps or DVDRips> are obligated to follow the above      │
│      rules.                                                                │
│    - Media usage capicity: 4x25min = 1CD, 2x50min = 1CD                    │
│        Episodes of up to 25 minutes, will not be over 175mb.               │
│        Episodes of up to 50 minutes, will not be over 350mb.               │
│        Episodes further then 50 minutes, will follow the length rules of   │
│        TXD2K4.                                                             │
│    - Capping method ie. PDTV/HDTV/DSRip etc. must be mentioned in the      │
│      dirname.                                                              │

│    Ripping related notes:                                                  │
│    - Maximum VIDEO bitrates are covered by length rules.                   │
│    - If DRF average would be over 4.0, the resolution must be lowered if   │
│      possible, untill the minimal res is reached. See Resolution rules.    │
│      DRF average can be checked with DRF Analyzer.                         │
│    - Quant. Matrix always has to be H.263 due lack of hardware support for │
│      for Custom matrixes.                                                  │
│    - Quarterpel / GMC forbidden due lack of hardware support.              │
│    - Multi-language audio tracks are allowed.                              │
│        - Multiple languages should be interleaved into the AVI, with       │
│          a graphedit filter for each appropriate audio stream.             │
│        - Movies that would ordinarily fit on 1 CD should not be made       │
│          into 2 CD releases on the basis of additional audio tracks.       │
│        - Multi-language audio CANNOT be used as a basis for a dupe.        │
│        - Multi-language subtitles CANNOT be used as a basis for a dupe.    │
│    - Group Watermarks WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN ANY CASE.                     │
│    - NO intros, outros, betweenos, or any other form of defacement of the  │
│      movie will be tolerated.                                              │
